OzEquip Hire
When Andrew Berghofer decided to open a hire shop just over a year
ago, he already had an idea of which equipment he wanted in his fleet. With years of experience in the
industry, Andrew was familiar with Red Roo and knew first hand of their legendary reliability.
Seven months later, OzEquip Hire is the realisation of Andrew’s vision. “I wanted the opportunity to
provide the area with a different kind of rental company in the Toowoomba area,” says Andrew. “I
wanted to provide a positive rental experience for the customer. Part of that experience is giving the
customer safe, reliable equipment. Red Roo’s are popular with our customers and they appreciate
the fact we have made the investment in the right equipment to help them get their job done quickly
and easily.”

Kennards Hire Service - HT912 trenchers
Kennards Hire Service has taken delivery of an initial 14 HT912 trenchers. After a rigorous trial and evaluation period, the HT912 was selected as Kennards next generation irrigation trencher. The units will be available at locations in Victoria and New South Wales.
Powered by a 9hp (6.75kW) Honda GX270 OHV engine, the HT912 delivers class-leading performance. The all-hydraulic HT912 eliminates the need for belts and gearboxes and allows the operator unprecedented ease of operation in a machine of this size.
Operators control direction, speed and depth with finger tip controls and an operator presence control makes for safe and easy operation.
Kennard’s HT912’s are fitted with a 600mm boom and cut to a width of 90mm. The chain cutters are tungsten carbide and feature riveted links for better wear.

His store has store has provided hardware, bulk landscape supplies, and rental equipment to the local area for over ten years. John started his rental department with a rotary hoe and a hydraulic post hole digger. Pretty Sally Home & Garden has the largest rental fleet available to the local community. Rental Company of
the Year - Bylsma Hire
The team at Bylsma Hire and Managing Director
Roger Bylsma are celebrating their win as the Australian Hire & Rental
Company of the Year for 2006. Bylsma Hire was presented the award
at the Australian Hire & Rental Convention at the Gold Coast.
This
prestigious award is the culmination of 20 years in the rental
industry.
After nomination by industry peers, an audit team
carried out an inspection of various aspects of the business including
IT, systems, infrastructure, equipment,
staff and even minute details such as the toilet facilities. Roger believes
that doing the little things better makes a difference and gives the company
a competitive advantage.
Bylsma Hire stock has over 20 pieces of Red Roo
equipment in their fleet with some units over 14 years old. Roger
Blysma has proven that keeping
his equipment
clean, well serviced and undercover will extend the life of his rental
fleet. The range available for rental includes all models of Red Roo
equipment such
as rotary hoes, turf cutters, trenchers, stump grinders, wood chippers,
mulcher / shredders, post hole diggers and log splitters, and equipment
trailers.
Bylsma Hire recently took delivery of a third new
Red Roo log splitter. When asked about the decision to purchase another

A New HT912 trencher for Gisborne Garden Supplies
Red Roo has delivered a HT912 Trencher to Gisborne
Garden Supplies. The compact HT912 will provide customers an irrigation
trencher
with impressive capabilities. The HT912 will complement the larger
HT1624 that is already in service.
Featuring full hydraulics, the
HT912 is powered by a 9hp (6.75kW) Honda GX270 OHV engine and
digs to 450mm (18”). Trench width
is 100mm (4”). An optional boom will allow for a 300mm
(12”)
trench depth. Wheel speed is infinitely adjustable and the hydraulic
chain drive ensures the unit is not damaged if the chain stalls
while trenching.

V-Twin, the C100 is easy to start and operate. A clutch over
centre mechanism allows no load starting and eliminates the need
for a
centrifugal clutch.

Hire
It Plant Hire was established in Rose Street, Doncaster in 1971.
Since those early days, the company has continued to expand
its product and service range. A second location was opened
in Bayswater in the 1980’s and a complete refurbishment of
the original location has seen Hire It Plant Hire continue
to demonstrate its commitment to its customers.
Co-owner Mike Gaffney
says, “People have to be multi-skilled
in this business. They must be good on the phone and know the
equipment – including
operation and service requirements. ” Each staff member
is responsible for explaining and demonstrating the safe manner
to
operate each piece of equipment. Today, Hire It employs 14
staff and customer service remains the cornerstone of the business.
