McLeod Trees Takes Delivery of SHP400

Red Roo Sales & Service Co Pty Ltd has completed delivery of a SHP400 grinder to McLeod Trees.

With over 11 years of grinding experience, Shane Browne of McLeod Trees selected the SHP400 for a number of reasons.

“To start with, the Red Roo offered the 25hp Kohler engine and upgraded hydraulics,” says Shane.
“Add the new free wheeling hubs and the Red ToothTM rotational cutting system and the SHP400 is hard to beat.”

For a Big Job Ace Tree’s Hires a Big Grinder

When Mark Calvi, Managing Director of Ace Tree Management, required a short term increase in grinder capacity, he turned to Red Roo to help provide the solution.

The SP7015 was able to grind four large cypress stumps in under six hours. The largest stump was over 4m in diameter, 300mm high and was ground to a depth of 350mm in under 2.5 hours.

“The SP7015 made the difference on this job,” says Mark. “The ability to rent a machine of this size made it easy. The operator took full advantage of the wireless remote by keeping his eye on the job and himself out of the dirt.”

The SP7015 is powered by a Deutz 60hp (44.76kW) 3 cylinder turbo diesel. Standard features include wireless remote and direct hydraulic steering and wheel drive. The SP7015 has an impressive, class leading swing of 1750mm (70”) and a cutting depth of 375mm (15”). The 25.4mm (1”) thick, Blanchard ground cutter wheel features 32 triple rotation Red Tooth™ cutters. The cutters showed no visible wear upon completion of the job.

Valley Wide Tree Services located in Morwell, has taken delivery of a new Red Roo SHP400 stump grinder.
